Master Varouj Bejanian is a graduate of UCLA (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering). Master Varouj worked as a Design Engineer with various companies until 2005 when he quit his job to turn his dedication and focus to his martial arts school and his students full time. Master Varouj is a man of honor and integrity and is absolutely phenomenal with children and teens alike. His teaching method and his communication ability with children and teenagers is mesmerizing. His classes are energetic, motivational, fun and instructional.
Varouj Bejanian is a gifted martial artist who has won numerous awards and titles in various states including New York, New Jersey and other states in New England. He is indeed a gentle giant, trustworthy and a humble individual who enjoys teaching and is devoted to making a difference in his students’ lives.

With over 25 years of martial arts teaching experience, Master Varouj holds a 6th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and Blend and also holds a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Roger Machado. As the leader of Bejanian Martial Arts, Master Varouj has created a curriculum that carries far beyond martial arts techniques.
In 1988-1989 Varouj was nominated and selected to be amongst the top 2% high achievers in the country for academic excellence. His name was known as Who’s Who Among International Students in American Colleges and Universities. In college, Varouj was a member of the intercollegiate soccer team that was nationally ranked #2 (#1 in New England).
Master Varouj promotes academic excellence, respect for parents and maintenance of a positive attitude and makes sure that each and every person sets a defined goal at every rank and achieves it. Master Varouj is the founder of Bejanian World Success Martial Arts which is dedicated to improving students’ development in every area of their lives.
“Our program teaches children about setting goals and achieving them. It teaches them to take control of their lives and realize that they are the captain of their ship and whatever they put into life is what they are going to get back. They learn to be positive and optimistic and that they have a purpose in life. They will not float around confused not knowing why they are here. They will find their goal in life and when they each have set a goal with a positive intention, they will not be confused and scared any more. They also learn to be responsible individuals that take accountability for their actions. These qualities help children ensure their success in school and in life”.
Master Varouj lives in Glendale with his wife Marlet, their daughter Madeline and their son Alec. He believes in life and celebrates the victories these kids achieve every day. As he teaches them leadership, he loves all of his students and is thankful to them for their loyalty, dedication and humility.
