Tak Wah Eng was born in Hong Kong in the tiger year of 1950. He began his martial art training as a child on the rooftop of his home. When he was 16, he immigrated to New York, settling in what is known as Chinatown. He was fortunate to meet and become a student of Grandmaster Wai-Hong, who was the Father of Fu-Jow Pai Tiger Claw Kung Fu.
Tak Wah Eng found friendship in his teacher and a home in his martial art school. He loved learning everything about his Tiger Claw style, as well as learning from friends of his teacher. He has trained some who have gone on to achieve great success in their careers due to his lessons of harmony and balance. He continues to teach out of his small studio on the Bowery in Chinatown, where he has multiple generations come to continue learning Kung fu from the old way, He is proud to serve his community and all who wish to learn the beauty of his culture – Chinese Kung Fu.
