The 1st Bali International Kung Fu Championships 2018 is the first international kungfu tournament held in Indonesia. It will take place on December 17-22, 2018 at the Mangupura Hall at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali and the Garuda Dewata Wushu Indonesia Foundation and the Indonesia Wushu Association are putting on the event.
Tournament participants at this international level championship will be competing for the Republic of Indonesia’s Minister of Youth & Sports Trophy.
The 1st Bali International Kung Fu Championships 2018 is the precursor to the World Wushu Championship 2019 which will also be held in Bali. The goal of this tournament is to introduce and promote traditional Wushu in the world community and to encourage the athletes of Bali and Indonesia to be more active and eager to learn and practice traditional Wushu. By holding the International Open Competition in Denpasar, the capital city and main hub of the Indonesian province of Bali, more athletes from cities in Bali have the opportunity to attend and participate in this prestigious event and to prepare for the World Wushu Championship 2019.
Garuda Dewata is making the event even more exciting by promoting the event using a 3D animation of their mascot allowing the animated mascot to use exceptional kung fu skills. You can see the animated mascot at the end of the video at the top of this page.
