*A catchweight is a weight class between two recognized weight classes which is mutually agreed-upon by the two competitors. It can also refer to competitors coming in at any weight, with no participant weight restrictions. This practice is also known as open weight. Its a compromise between weight classes. So if the weight classes are 155, 170, 185, and 205, but the competitors want to make it a 162 max, a governing body can approve that weight class for the match. Gomi vs Diaz was at a catchweight of 160. Hughes vs Gracie was at a catchweight of 175.
